Fireplaces & Heating

Our teepees come from Scandinavia, and the Scandinavians sure know a thing or two about keeping warm!

Regardless of the good old British weather, it is worth considering heating options, should the temperature not live up to expectations.

Open Fires

An open fire transforms the feeling inside the tents, creating a wonderful atmosphere and a delightful focal point. Our fireplaces are timber framed and sit at hip height. Our teepees are traditionally designed with a smoke hole to allow our fires to be lit and burn inside the tent. The fireplaces have to sit in the centre of the tent so that smoke can escape through the smoke hole.

Indirect Heaters

Whilst an open fire will provide some local heat,  we provide diesel powered indirect heaters that sit outside the tent and duct warm air into the teepees from ground level under the bottom edge of the canvas, allowing the heat to rise through the teepees. They are highly effective and will keep the tents warm on the coldest day. We have screens to hide the view of the heaters if these are required.

Outdoor fire bowls

You can also hire outdoor fire bowls which are great to gather around as the evening starts to cool.
